On 1 June 2023, Arthur Moses SC, Co-Chair of the LAWASIA Human Rights Committee, presented a speech to the Azerbaijani Bar Association Conference on the topic of ‘Equality before and in the law: an Australian perspective’. Mr Moses discussed the increasing representation of women in the legal profession and judiciary in Australia and noted the ongoing challenge of increasing diversity and representation at the top levels of the profession and the judiciary as well as at the Australian Bar.
